In 2017, Mackenzie had the privilege of performing a piece written for Piano, Euphonium and Orchestra in Carnegie hall; one of the highlights of his career so far. His accompanying and chamber music skills have been in high demand with artists around the country requesting accompaniment for various recitals and projects He also performs as a soloist regularly, most recently with his performance of Liszt Totentanz Concerto with the Greater Gwent Youth Orchestra in Newport Cathedral. Since studying at RNCM, Mackenzie has received his DipABRSM in piano performance.
